Safeway Deals 5/12 - 5/18

So, I'm a little annoyed with my Safeway.  The other day when I went in to do my shopping, coupons in hand, the checker told me they were no longer accepting printed coupons.  She told me this has been the policy for about the last 3 weeks because people had been using fraudulent coupons.  The week before I had gone through the check outs of 2 managers with printable coupons and didn't experience any problems.  I don't quite know what is going on.  On Safeway's corporate website they say they do except printable coupons.  Safeway even has printable coupons on their website. 

Has anyone else experienced problems lately?
